Kim Stout teaches 4th grade in Helena, Montana. She earned her degree in Elementary Education from Carroll College in Helena and her Master’s in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs. Kim has also earned her National Board Certification in Literacy: Reading and Language Arts. Over her 20+ year career in education, she has enjoyed teaching first, second and now fourth graders. She is dedicated to fostering a love of reading and writing in her students and believes that literacy is the foundation for all learning and is excited to share her expertise with fellow educators. Kim is actively involved in many professional growth opportunities at the Local, State and National level. When Kim is not teaching, she enjoys spending time with her family, running, traveling, and managing the Italian restaurant that she owns.
