Jennifer Young has served in public education for 14 years. As a classroom teacher and instructional coach, she developed a passion for student achievement and innovative strategies to help EVERY student succeed. She graduated from the University of Kentucky in 2007 with a Bachelor of Arts in Education and later attended the University of the Cumberland to earn her Master's Degree in Literacy. In 2017, she studied at the University of Kentucky once again, to earn her Educational Specialist Degree (EdS) and K-12 Principal Certification. Recently, she decided to take a break from her role as the Personalized Learning Coach for Shelby County Public Schools to stay at home with her two children, Dean (3) and Eden (1). When she is not busy playing with her young children, she enjoys spending time out in nature with her husband, Edward.
