Dawn brings over 30 years of experience in public education. She was a school leader, mentor principal, assistant principal, and teacher. As educational consultant and in her previous role with Turnaround for Children, Dawn empowers district leaders, school leaders, and educators to reimagine teaching and learning by building strong relationships and fostering inclusive environments filled with safety and belonging. She influenced districts like District of Columbia Public Schools, DC; Rockingham Public Schools, NC; and Tulsa Public Schools, OK. Dawn has presented at national conferences like CASEL SEL Exchange and California MTSS Professional Learning Institute, She earned her M.Ed. in Educational Leadership from George Mason University and her BS degree in Early Childhood and Elementary Education from Bloomsburg University. After 20 years, Dawn has returned to the classroom, teaching 4th grade with Fairfax County Public Schools in Virginia.
